Iberoamerican Group declaration on Ecuador

On July 2, 2025, the IBA Group issued a declaration in defence of judicial independence in Ecuador, in light of the attacks perpetrated by the Ecuadorian Minister of the Interior in a television interview, as well as the attacks launched by certain media outlets against specific magistrates, in both cases motivated by dissent regarding the decisions taken by those judges.
