On 12 April, 2023, in San José (Costa Rica) the mid-year meeting of the Ibero American Group of the IAJ started. In attendance were 15 member associations from Latin American countries. The meeting took place under the presidency of Mr Walter Barone (Brazil), with the attendance of the IAJ President, Mr José Igreja Matos, of the Secretary-General of the IAJ, Mr Giacomo Oberto and of the Deputy Secretary-General Mr Galileo D’Agostino. The meeting dealt with current problems of the judiciary in Latin America; as well information was provided by the President especially over the current process of monitoring of IAJ member associations. The Assembly discussed the preparation of the next annual IAJ meeting in Taiwan.
